COVID-19 Guide for Sweaty Changemakers

Marzo 30, 2020 |

Hello Sweaty Changemaker!

Thank you for joining our community, either as a part of a virtual race, an employee engagement campaign, or our #GO4Trees Challenge.

In these times of uncertainty and isolation, we feel that it is even more important to take care of our health, digitally connect with sweaty changemakers worldwide, and make a positive impact on our communities and the planet we share!

To keep each other safe, we have put together a little list of things to consider if you go for an exercise outdoors. Please understand these as guiding posts, and if in question, always consult with a professional.

– First, we urge all of you to strictly follow all country-specific regulations, rules, and laws issued by organizations and government agencies such as the WHO and CDC.

– Look for the least-crowded paths available! If you encounter another person on your way, give a wave, smile, and step to the side to maintain a 6-foot distance.

– Only exercise alone or with a person from your household.

– Assume that banisters, benches, pull-up bars, the “walk” buttons on stoplights, and other outdoor surfaces might be contaminated and avoid touching them, at least with uncovered skin.

Please wear a mask (we know it’s inconvenient) and gloves (which themselves can become contaminated) or use your elbow to push buttons.

– Avoid drinking from fountains along your route. Bring your own drinking bottle.

– Take off your shoes when you return home and immediately wash your hands

Have fun and stay healthy!
